Business Support Officer

Job Description


VANRATH are recruiting a temporary Business Support Officer for a large multi-site Public Sector organisation in Belfast. Data and information management are at the centre of this position so you will need to have proven advanced excel skills, an analytical mindset and an ability to multitask. This role is full time hours for an ongoing duration.


Remuneration
This role offers a starting salary of circa £26,000 with full holiday allowance and benefits exclusive to VANRATH

Location
An office based role within Greater Belfast with the potential for occasional home and out of hours working

Responsibilities:
The post holder will work collaboratively with the Business Manager and report to the Head of Service. Providing a high quality service including business support, quality management, customer services and complaints and assist in the correlation and production of auditable performance data and reports. Complying with existing policy and procedures and ensure the effective management of financial, human and physical resources and associated budgets.

The ideal candidate:

Essential

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent in a related discipline (e,g, Business, Management, Administration)

OR

  • QCF Level III in Business Administration or equivalent relevant qualification plus 5 years' experience in the below competencies.

AND

  1. A minimum of 2 years' administration experience working in a business environment including operation of a bespoke computerised system.
  2. Demonstrable experience of working in an environment regulated by set working policies and procedures.
  3. Excellent level of IT literacy with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office and in particular experience in the use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including the ability to manipulate and interpret data and produce analytical reports.
  4. Strong diary management and organisation skills and ability to prioritise and manage conflicting work demands.
  5. Experience of public sector governance, accountability, audit procedures.
  6. Financial management.
