Senior Financial Analyst (4 days WFH)

VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading tech business to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst to join the growing FP&A Team, initially on a 12-month contract, however there is a distinct possibility the role will go permanent.

Reporting into the Head of FP&A, this is a newly created role that has come about due to growth within the business and will include monthly/quarterly forecasting against budget, partnering with key business units as a trusted finance partner, building key reporting and analysis, aid the implementation of best practice processes across the Finance team, and mentor and coach other Finance colleagues.

Role:

  • Track and report key trends and metrics to highlight opportunities and issues to senior management and to feed into the budget and forecasting process
  • Plan and manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including liaising with stakeholders, analysing, financial modelling, presenting results and maintaining the relevant data
  • Develop into a trusted finance business partner across all business units
  • Understanding and scrutinising data used for reporting, including financial and product/customer data (produced by the Finance and Data teams), to ensure that they are complete, up-to-date and free from error
  • Working with Data and Finance teams to create and maintain reports generated from key systems including SAP, CRM and Google data studio
  • Automation and process improvement for the FP&A and wider finance team
  • Supporting the development of visualisations and dashboards, which will enhance access and understanding of the available data
  • Working with Senior Management to develop consistent and accurate reporting
  • Coaching and development of more junior members of the team
  • Ongoing ad-hoc commercial and analytical support

Candidate:

  • 3 years' post-qualified experience in an FP&A Analyst role at a senior level
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)
  • Experience using financial reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau or other visualisation tools
  • Proven track record of building and mining large data sets to draw conclusions relevant to business objectives
  • Experience of budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience of coaching and developing or line managing others
