What You'll Do

As a Settlements Analyst, you'll ensure the smooth operation of the energy market's financial processes. You'll manage and verify data for settlements, handle reporting tasks, and support operational compliance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and validating weekly and daily settlement documents and financial reports

  • Conducting routine cashflow checks and monitoring credit risk activities

  • Working across various internal systems to track, review, and process financial data

  • Publishing time-sensitive market reports and key stakeholder communications

  • Responding to internal and external queries and escalating issues when needed

  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts including process changes, training, and testing

  • Ensuring full compliance with regulatory codes and strict settlement deadlines

About You

You'll be someone who thrives in a structured, time-sensitive environment and enjoys working with data and finance systems. You are team-oriented, accurate, and proactive in your work.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a finance admin or transactional finance role

  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort using multiple systems/tools

  • Effective time management with the ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline

  • 2+ years' post-graduate experience in a financial or analytical role

  • Experience working in a highly regulated or process-driven environment
