The Role
As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will:
Establish and grow the DevOps function across the business.
Design and implement a scalable, enterprise-wide CI/CD pipeline with Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities.
Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and act as a subject matter expert in DevOps and cloud architecture.
Champion full automation across deployment pipelines and drive adoption of best practices across development teams.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, and security to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing releases.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain reusable, automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated quality and security gates.
Lead cross-functional discussions on DevOps architecture and toolsets.
Provide hands-on expertise in tools such as Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, CircleCI, and others.
Implement and support deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
Integrate compliance, performance, and monitoring solutions into DevOps workflows.
Create detailed documentation and continuously improve system and operational processes.
Promote a DevOps-first mindset across agile product teams.
About You
5+ years' experience in a dedicated DevOps or cloud engineering role.
Strong experience with CI/CD tooling, infrastructure automation, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, Python (or similar scripting language), Docker, and Packer.
Experienced in enterprise-scale environments, including production deployment and release management.
Hands-on knowledge of agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
Excellent communication and leadership skills-comfortable guiding both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving mindset and a continuous improvement attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Dual expertise in Azure and AWS.
Certified in relevant DevOps or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate).
