Receptionist

Job Description

Vanrath are recruiting for a professional and friendly Receptionist in a company within the Belfast City Centre area on a temporary basis.

About the role:

This role is the first point of contact for visitors and callers, requiring excellent communication and organisational skills. The position is initially offered for around 7 months, with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will also support other departments.

Details:

  • Standard hours are Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Temporary, approximately 7 months, with potential to go perm
  • £12.50ph can be discussed, dependant on experience

What you will do

  • Greet visitors and handle all front desk interactions in a professional manner
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Maintain the reception area and meeting room bookings
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry and document handling
  • Assist the HR department with ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Coordinate with other internal departments as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Well-organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Friendly, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Discreet and professional when handling confidential information
