Production Manager - Food Manufacturing
Banbridge | £50-60k (DOE)

An ambitious and rapidly growing food manufacturing business in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead bakery operations across two sites. With a major site expansion planned in the next year, this is an exciting time to join a company in the middle of a significant growth journey.

We're looking for someone with hands-on bakery or food production experience, who has successfully guided a business through scaling from a smaller operation to a large-scale, high-volume manufacturer. If you're passionate about operational excellence, leading teams, and driving growth, this could be the ideal next step.

The Role

  • Oversee all bakery production operations, ensuring orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest quality.
  • Manage daily production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation to meet demand.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operatives and supervisors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC).
  • Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimise waste.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, planning, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture across the sites.

What We're Looking For

  • Ideally, someone with baking experience but not essential
  • Proven track record in a production management role within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Background as a baker or in bakery production is highly desirable.
  • Experience successfully scaling a food production operation during a growth phase.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, compliance, and operational best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
