VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Manufacturer in helping recruit for a commercially focused and hands-on Financial Controller to lead its finance function.

- Qualified Accountant / Part Qualified / QBE
- Strong Excel skills
- Confidnet to lead a small team
- Strong analytical and financial planning skills, able to influence decision-making
What you'll do
The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing all financial operations within the business, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting commercial decision-making, and leading a small finance team. This role will play a key part in driving performance, improving systems, and supporting strategic initiatives across the company.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts with insightful commentary
- Produce financial and operational reports using Excel
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and debtor control
- Oversee inventory valuation and costing processes
- Support operational teams with cost analysis and margin improvement initiatives
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring a high-performance culture
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and prepare year-end accounts
- Liaise with external accountants
