Qualified Accountant 4 Day Week

Job Description


I'm delighted to be working with a long-established and reputable accountancy practice with offices across North and Mid Ulster. They're now looking to appoint a Qualified Accountant to join their team on a 4-day working week - offering a great balance between professional responsibility and lifestyle.


This is a broad, hands-on role in a firm that supports a wide mix of businesses across sectors such as retail, construction, agri, and professional services. You'll be given autonomy and ownership of your client portfolio, along with the support of an experienced and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Year-end accounts preparation (sole traders, partnerships, limited companies)
  • Personal and business tax returns
  • VAT returns and MTD compliance
  • Management accounts preparation using cloud software
  • Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and long-term advice
  • Some involvement in payroll and liaising with HMRC as required


What you'll need:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Strong practice experience, but the firm is open to a range of backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Confident using Xero, QBO, or similar cloud systems
