Commercial Sales Executive - Food Industry
Location: Ballymena | Full-Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

An established leader in the food production and distribution sector is seeking a proactive Commercial Sales Executive to join their team in Ballymena. The Role:
As a Business Development Executive, you'll take ownership of expanding the company's market presence, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to strategic growth. You'll work across departments to ensure a seamless service experience and identify fresh opportunities for revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on support across the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals

  • Research and engage with new prospects to expand the client base

  • Strengthen existing relationships and look for ways to increase business with current customers

  • Process sales orders accurately and in line with operational deadlines

  • Assist the Commercial Manager with client proposals, tenders, and ongoing account management

  • Collaborate closely with operations and planning teams to meet delivery expectations

  • Conduct site visits and regular check-ins with key partners to maintain service quality and satisfaction

  • Investigate any order or service-related issues, compiling reports where necessary

  • Take on additional duties in support of commercial objectives as requested

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Previous sales experience, ideally within food manufacturing, meat processing, or FMCG sectors

  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Confidence working both independently and within a collaborative environment

  • Background in production or construction is advantageous

  • Familiarity with meat products and knowledge of the food distribution landscape is highly beneficial
