Commercial Sales Executive - Food Industry
Location: Ballymena | Full-Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday
An established leader in the food production and distribution sector is seeking a proactive Commercial Sales Executive to join their team in Ballymena. The Role:
As a Business Development Executive, you'll take ownership of expanding the company's market presence, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to strategic growth. You'll work across departments to ensure a seamless service experience and identify fresh opportunities for revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on support across the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals
Research and engage with new prospects to expand the client base
Strengthen existing relationships and look for ways to increase business with current customers
Process sales orders accurately and in line with operational deadlines
Assist the Commercial Manager with client proposals, tenders, and ongoing account management
Collaborate closely with operations and planning teams to meet delivery expectations
Conduct site visits and regular check-ins with key partners to maintain service quality and satisfaction
Investigate any order or service-related issues, compiling reports where necessary
Take on additional duties in support of commercial objectives as requested
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Previous sales experience, ideally within food manufacturing, meat processing, or FMCG sectors
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
Confidence working both independently and within a collaborative environment
Background in production or construction is advantageous
Familiarity with meat products and knowledge of the food distribution landscape is highly beneficial
