Key Duties
Continuously assess and update product ranges in line with best practice category management techniques, incorporating insights from consumer trends, marketing, sales, and supplier innovations.
Create and share detailed category plans across departments and with customers to ensure full alignment and maximise sales potential.
Lead range reviews and product refresh cycles according to established calendars.
Develop supply strategies to address seasonal fluctuations in demand.
Track product performance metrics such as volume, profit margins, and market share, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Monitor competitor pricing and supplier costs to maintain competitive and attractive customer offerings.
Negotiate purchasing terms and pricing within Northern Ireland guidelines.
Manage the balance between pricing, promotions, and discounts to maintain a strong value-for-money brand positioning.
Who We're Looking For
At least one year's experience in a buyer or category management role within food retail or wholesale.
Strong skills in data analysis and interpreting market trends.
Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced commercial environment.
