Stock Controller / Buyer (Cookstown)(28-30k)

VANRATH have partnered with an ambitious Jewellery company that is rapidly expanding their international roots. The organisation is recruiting for a Stock Controller position.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any stock/buying experienced individual to join a longstanding company that offers many routes for progression.

We now require a stock controller / buyer to manage our stock across our suite of brands. Working with our sales team and manufacturing partners across the world, you will manage all stock movements within the business through sales forecasting and sales history. You will engage in product demand planning ensuring that our jewellery is available when and where it is required.

This is a vitally important role within our ambitious team at a time when we are experiencing sustained growth. Hours

Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (Office-based)


Salary


Up to £30,000 (depending on experience) plus a fantastic benefits package.


Responsibilities:

Stock control & Management

  • Successfully forecast our stock requirements using historical sales data
  • Work to maximise profits through just in time production, and improve efficiencies in deliveries to us and our customers
  • Engage in order processing, returns management, and redistributing inventory across all departments and key partners
  • Working with internal stakeholders, manage excess stock to increase stock efficiencies.
  • Manage our internal Purchase orders and deal with our own team in Asia and global suppliers to manage production and quality and that they adhere to our shipping/ production requirements
  • Manage internal stock checks to ensure accurate up to date data
  • Manage weekly stock movements to our key partners globally
  • Provide assistance in the analysis the full life cycle of our products and implement change where necessary
  • Work with designers to manage new product launches, product promotions and POS
  • Identify and implement new procedures to ensure our products adhere to global consumer protections laws

Reporting

  • Report to internal stakeholders including CEO on performance of products and suppliers
  • Produce weekly stock performance reports
  • Produce regular supplier performance reports, devising and implementing new KPI's to ensure efficient supplier relationships
  • Working with the CEO establish new budgets and ensure that these are adhered to.
  • Preparation and delivery of monthly reports as required to the sales team and senior management

General skills and experience required

  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions.

  • Excellent microsoft excel knowledge
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • the capability to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.

  • strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers.
