VANRATH are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a Civil Service body in the City Centre who are looking to add a Staff Officer Accountant to their busy finance team. This role will allow you the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the year and upon completing the initial 6 month contract, you will be invited to interview for the permanent post. The ideal candidate should be immediately available/on a weeks notice, and ideally have public sector experience.

The Role:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
• Forecast income and expenditure with budget holders.
• Forecast Cash requirements.
• Assist in Financial Monitoring of EU Funding Schemes.
• Supervise Payroll and Expenses.
• Provide advice and guidance on the procurement process for the business, including the review of Business Cases.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Fully Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in accountancy (preparation of accounts etc)
• Excellent IT skills

Remuneration:

£35,000+
