Our client is growing their global Network Services team and is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer II to help drive automation, reliability, and efficiency. You'll work across the full technology stack, building tools that reduce manual effort and improve system resilience. This role involves designing and deploying microservices in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), managing infrastructure with Terraform, and creating APIs that support automation.
You'll join a collaborative team spread across the US, UK, India, and Singapore, working together to deliver one of the world's most reliable and secure trading networks.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain automation tools to improve IT operations.
Contribute to full-stack development (front-end + back-end).
Design and scale microservices on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Use Terraform (or similar) to manage cloud infrastructure.
Develop REST APIs (Flask or equivalent) for automation.
Troubleshoot Linux environments and work primarily in VS Code.
Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
Collaborate in Agile teams using Jira and Bitbucket.
What We're Looking For
1-2 years' hands-on Python programming, with automation or tooling projects.
Experience with Flask (Django a plus) and REST API development.
Familiarity with Terraform, Linux, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
Some front-end experience (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) would be helpful.
Strong understanding of coding best practices (PEP8, SOLID, CI/CD).
Clear communicator, collaborative, and eager to learn.
Education: A degree in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred, though equivalent experience is welcome.
