VANRATH is thrilled to be working with a well-regarded commercial vehicle provider in Northern Ireland to help appoint a Service Advisor to join their Ballymena team. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and experience in a customer service environment - especially within the automotive, logistics, or transport sectors. Role Overview:

The Service Advisor will serve as the key link between the workshop and customers, ensuring all service-related activity runs smoothly. You'll play an important part in delivering a high level of service and supporting the day-to-day operations of the aftersales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer service bookings from enquiry through to completion

  • Updating service schedules and maintaining accurate records for customers and vehicles

  • Coordinating PSV appointments and related documentation

  • Preparing job cards, monitoring workshop activity, and assisting with invoicing

  • Advising customers on recommended work and obtaining approval

  • Preparing quotations and explaining service details clearly

  • Promoting maintenance plans and contract packages

  • Supporting the workshop supervisor in day-to-day planning

  • Organising customer vehicle collections and returns

  • Handling incoming and outgoing customer communications in a timely, professional manner

What You'll Need:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a related industry (motor/transport/logistics)

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive and service-focused mindset

  • Full UK driving licence
