Senior Officer - 33k - Belfast

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Senior Officer to join their team based in Belfast.

This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.

Salary

£27,800 - £33,900 per annum, plus benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational/project support across various stands of the development and delivery of the Tenancy Sustainment Strategy and associated Action Plans.
  • Investigate and research topics when requested, to support the development or amendment of strategies, policies/procedures, and business cases.
  • Assist with gathering information and drafting reports and management responses.
  • Use IT systems and software to organise, evaluate and communicate information effectively, which may also include preparing and delivering presentations.
  • Undertake project work as directed by the Tenancy Sustainment Manager, following the principles of good project management and governance.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer service including taking ownership of stakeholder queries and issues/complaints and following these through to completion.
  • Effectively manage own workload and be flexible and responsive to change/competing priorities.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree (Level 6*) or equivalent.
  • OR
  • Hold a BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5*) qualification.
  • OR
  • Can demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Essential Criteria:

  • Effective written communication skills, including drafting papers, briefings, correspondence or similar.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders resulting in positive outcomes.
  • Ability to manage workload to meet strict deadlines in the context of various competing priorities, whilst maintaining accuracy in work outputs.
  • Experience in managing, analysing, and monitoring complex business information.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of using MS Excel.
  • Experience of duties or responsibilities in relation to finance tasks or systems e.g. processing payments or invoices, maintaining expenditure records.
