Senior HR Advisor (Temporary - 3-6 Months)
Location: Newtownabbey/Belfast
Rate: £18.50 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Temporary (3-6 months)
Are you a passionate and proactive HR professional looking for your next opportunity? We're working on behalf of a well-established and values-driven organisation based in Belfast to recruit an experienced Senior HR Advisor for a temporary contract of 3 to 6 months.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but dedicated HR team where you'll play a critical role in delivering best practice across a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, compliance, and project work.

About the Role


Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources, you will:


  • Provide confidential and high-quality HR advice and support to managers and staff.

  • Ensure HR compliance with current employment law and internal procedures.

  • Take a lead role in end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.

  • Support HR projects, engagement initiatives, and wellbeing programmes.

  • Assist with the preparation of Fair Employment monitoring returns, including Article 55 reviews.

  • Conduct workplace investigations and advise on employee relations issues.

  • Ensure full compliance with right-to-work checks and employment documentation.


This is a hands-on and varied role that requires someone with strong generalist experience and the confidence to operate autonomously within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

What We're Looking For



Essential Criteria:


  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (minimum)

  • At least 2 years' experience in a generalist HR role, including:

  • Advising on employee relations matters (grievance, discipline, attendance management)

  • Leading or supporting recruitment campaigns from start to finish

  • Experience with Fair Employment monitoring and Article 55 reviews

  • In-depth knowledge of NI employment legislation and HR best practice

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (or demonstrate how you would meet the mobility requirements of the role if you have a disability)

    Additional Requirements:


    • Must be willing to undertake an Access NI check and provide satisfactory references (costs to be covered by the successful candidate)
