HR Advisor - Resourcing (3-Year Fixed Term Contract)

Salary: £36,124
Contract: 3-Year FTC | Full-Time


We are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-profile public service organisation for an experienced HR Advisor (Resourcing) to join their established HR team on a 3-year fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional to play a lead role in the delivery of large-scale, often high-profile recruitment and promotion campaigns-particularly within uniformed services. You'll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that plays a vital role in the safety and wellbeing of communities across Northern Ireland.
The Role:
As HR Advisor (Resourcing), you'll ensure the effective delivery of all resourcing activities, from recruitment planning and candidate communications to interview support and onboarding. You will lead on promotional and recruitment cycles and work closely with key stakeholders including senior managers, assessment teams, and external partners.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on uniformed recruitment and promotion campaigns across the UK and Ireland
  • Providing professional HR advice to panels, including participation at shortlisting and interviews
  • Managing candidate communications and supporting a smooth pre-employment process
  • Drafting advertisements, contracts, offer letters, and formal responses to candidate queries or complaints
  • Supporting internal reporting, FOI responses, and data protection compliance
  • Ensuring all activity aligns with internal codes of practice, legislation, and best practice

This is a varied role requiring confidence, professionalism, and a detail-oriented mindset. You'll be a key figure in helping the organisation attract and retain top talent while upholding fairness, transparency, and compliance at all stages of the recruitment lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking candidates who are:

  • Qualified to Level 5 in a business-related subject and current CIPD members
  • Experienced in employee resourcing within large, multi-site, and multi-disciplinary environments (minimum 2 years with qualification, or 4 years without)
  • Skilled at providing expert HR advice at a senior level
  • Confident communicators with strong planning and organisational abilities
  • Fully up to date with employment legislation relevant to recruitment

Desirable: Experience leading major recruitment campaigns, handling candidate complaints, and working within local government or the public sector.
A full UK driving licence (or access to suitable transport) is also required.
