Procurement Officer - Property & Professional Services
CLIENT
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Officer to join a major Property & Professional Services contract based in Belfast. This role sits within a highly regulated public-sector environment and offers the chance to play a key part in the procurement, contract management and compliance of a large, multi-site estate.
The successful candidate will support the Procurement & Compliance Manager and work closely with Client representatives, contributing to the effective delivery and re-procurement of a complex supply chain across Northern Ireland.
Due to the sensitive nature of the organisation's work, the successful candidate will be required to undergo Counter-Terrorism Security Checks (CTC) prior to appointment.
The Ideal Person
The ideal candidate will be degree educated and bring experience or strong exposure to public sector procurement and contract management. You will be commercially aware, detail-focused, and comfortable working within structured procurement frameworks, ideally with experience of NEC4 contracts. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
Responsibilities
As Procurement Officer, you will support the delivery of procurement and contract management activities across a large operational estate. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with public procurement exercises in line with NI Procurement Policy and Procurement Guidance Notes
- Supporting the re-procurement and ongoing management of the Client's supply chain
- Administration and management of NEC4 contract processes
- Producing business cases and commercial documentation to support procurement activity
- Managing contract correspondence, records and compliance documentation
- Supporting financial and commercial reporting, risk management and audit processes
- Liaising with internal teams, contractors, sub-consultants and client stakeholders
- Ensuring full compliance with all contractual, procurement and governance obligations
Remuneration - £40,000 - £45,000
