The Client
VANRATH are pleased to be working with an industry leading fintech firm who are recruiting for a high calibre candidate to fill the position of Principal Identity & Access Control Specialist.

The Ideal Person

  • Extensive experience in Information Security within enterprise environments, with a focus on access and identity management.
  • Experience deploying access within Cloud IaaS platforms (AWS, AZURE).
  • Security certifications, such as (i.e. CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CCNA, or related Vendor Certifications regarding access management).
  • Solid understanding of information security standards and best practices for securing computer systems within applicable laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in identifying potential IT access controls risks, issues, and opportunities through and offering sustainable recommendations that address the technical root cause rather than symptoms.
  • Extensive experience and in-depth working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines, including one or more of the following:
  • Azure AD
  • Active Directory
  • Service Account and Local Account Management technologies
  • PAM Platforms


The Role

  • Responsible for access management processes across applications, AD directories, and domains, granting access to servers and applications across the organisation.
  • Consults with technical staff, including developers, application owners, and database admins, to provide access solutions while maintaining information security standards and policies.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements standards, guidelines, operating policies, and procedures.
  • Performs security incident operations, including after-hours response activities, event escalation coverage, and incident reporting, where needed.
  • Defines and maintains the AD Structure and integration for cloud platforms.
  • Leads the Zero Trust Access Control components, defining the standard process and supporting the Development Operations automation processes.
  • Creates reports to show access management is alignment with PCI standards.
  • Supports Access Management control testing.
