Payroll Specialist
I am delighted to be recruiting for a Payroll Specialist for a well-known global manufacturing company. My client is undergoing a period of growth due to demand for their sought-after products. With three sites across Northern Ireland, my client is at the forefront of their industry and currently export their high quality and innovative products across the globe to the likes of North and South America, Australia and Asia. The Role
This role is responsible for the weekly and monthly payroll for a number of my client's sites. The role will include an element of continuous process improvement and needs an individual who has an analytical mindset to always look for most efficient approach to a job. The successful candidate will report to the Payroll Accounting Lead. The successful candidate will carry out the following:

  • Processing weekly and monthly payrolls

  • Collect and/or prepare appropriate supporting documents for all payroll transactions.

  • Ensure all third party payroll payments are made on time including site pension payments.

  • Provide audit support specific to payroll.

  • Reconcile and complete year-end returns and submit to HMRC.

  • Assist with projects in the payroll area.

  • Deal with correspondence from HMRC.

  • From time to time, you will be required to undertake other responsibilities / activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities.



The Ideal Candidate

The Ideal candidate will be customer service orientated with an adept ability for problem solving in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years' experience in a payroll position and running multiple payrolls.
Required Education & Experience

  • Experience within a payroll position running multiple payrolls.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

  • Working knowledge of ADP Freedom or similar payroll package.

  • As a minimum, applicants must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

  • Previous experience within a Shared Service environment would be a distinct advantage.
