Operations Manager (Food Production)

£45,000 - £55,000

County Monaghan / Armagh

VANRATH are delighted to be representing growing wholesale food producer based not far from Monaghan town. Our client have recently expanded their operations in to manufacturing, so your remit will occasionally cover a site nearby in Armagh City. This is an excellent time to join the company who have expanded recently and now aim to the biggest player in their market in the coming years.

The ideal person:

  • Food manufacturing / FMCG experience
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Food safety audit experience

Duties for this position include:

  • Overseeing all departments of a busy food distribution warehouse
  • Ensuring business costs are controlled and KPIs set and met weekly/monthly/quarterly
  • Ensuring smooth, timely production, logistics and staffing of a food business
  • Planning and budgeting for future projects
  • Working closely with other areas of the business, including Finance, Sales, Production, HR, Group Operations etc.
  • Managing a multi-nationality management team.
  • Being hands-on with staff from all areas of the business
  • Ensuring site standards are kept at BRC Grade A level across all departments
