Job Description

VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting one of our major clients in Belfast with the recruitment of an Office Administrator to join their expanding team.

This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills.

This is a Monday - Friday position. Temporary - Permanent opportunity.

Salary

£24,000 - £27,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting engineers in sourcing suppliers and managing purchasing activities.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Liaising with clients.
  • Data input and processing.
  • Uphold Data Protection Policies.
  • Undertake any other duty deemed necessary by Management, to ensure the efficient running of the business.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1 year's previous purchasing or administration experience within a busy office environment.
  • A strong understanding of purchasing processes, including supplier sourcing, negotiations, and managing purchase orders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with purchasing software or ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience gained within a plant / engineering company.
