Management Accountant
VANRATH is pleased to be recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a well-known organisation, who pride themselves on their dedication to offering energy solutions across Europe. This role is best suited to a part-qualified accountant, looking for career progression in a dynamic role. The successful Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in the already established finance function and will assist in all financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

About your next employer and the role
Reporting directly to the European Financial Controller. You will be responsible for a number from accountancy related tasks, such as monthly management accounts, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting and more. This role also allows for extensive travel across Europe, allowing the successful Assistant Accountant to gain experience across multi-entity sites. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to month end time schedules
- Preparation of variance reports with detailed analysis - Costing analysis - Financial reporting - Reporting on Debtors & Creditors - Budgeting and cash flow reporting
About you The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role and be a part-qualified accountant. Travel is vital for this role, so the successful candidate must be willing to travel across Europe with the company one week of each month. Ideally, a candidate from a manufacturing or FMCG company, would be preferred due to the nature of the role. The successful Assistant Accountant will meet the following criteria: · 2+ years' experience in a similar role · At least part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) · Excellent IT skills · Experience with costing and variance analysis · Excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working under pressure
