VANRATH are delighted to be representing a leading manufacturing business who provide the aerospace, oil & gas, and telecoms industries, among others, with top quality components. Our client have asked us to assist in finding a career-driven individual with at least one year's buying experience, to kick start a rewarding long-term career in purchasing

Criteria:

• One year in a buying role or similar supply chain capacity
• Manufacturing experience
• Experience dealing with high-volume purchasing

Duties to include:

• Liaise closely with production to help maintain efficient production schedules.
• Work closely with QA to maximise product quality, minimising defects.
• Focus on maintaining and progressing new supplier relationships but also closely monitor performance.
• Resolve all purchase order discrepancies to include invoice errors, and inventory adjustments.
• Oversee and take part in supplier review meetings
• Manage material obsolescence, drive stock turns, and reduce the level of inventory
