This is a versatile and diverse position that incorporates IT support, DevOps, and System Administration expertise. Responsibilities
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the organisation's local networks, including VPN servers, site-to-site VPN connections, and facilitating secure access to the company's cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Developing infrastructure and networking setups for both internal and client projects.
  • Configuring and administering SaaS-based systems such as Microsoft 365, Mimecast, and AWS.
  • Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure that security, scalability, performance, and interoperability are integrated into solution designs.
  • Coordinating with external contacts to collaborate on local IT administration, equipment procurement, and configuration.
  • Assisting the Legal and Compliance team by addressing technical issues related to third-party due diligence and meeting audit requirements for ISO 27001 accreditation.
  • Contributing to data science projects, configuring CI/CD pipelines, and supporting broader business initiatives for implementing automation where appropriate.
  • Designing and implementing data storage solutions, and establishing reliable, secure backup systems.
  • Obtaining quotes from potential suppliers, negotiating renewals with existing suppliers, and effectively managing supplier relationships.


Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a network and infrastructure administration role.
  • Proficiency in administering and supporting Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in managing various SaaS solutions and open-source software, including Microsoft 365, Apache webservers, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Knowledge of email administration, security practices, and backup procedures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems like Nagios or Datadog.
