HR Officer / Junior Business Partner
LOCATION: Ballymena
SALARY: £28,000 - £35,000 P/A

Vanrath are working on behalf of the client on a fantastic opportunity for a HR Officer/Junior Business Partner who will head up HR Operations in NI. Reporting to the Managing Director and mainland-based HR manager, this role is essentially the focal point and counterpoint to the successful structure on the mainland site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the employee life cycle from recruitment to retention and the first point of contact for all employee relation cases.

The Role

Main duties will include:

  • Policy and process development of the HR function.
  • Support and resolution to employees and managers on HR matters through implementation of policy and process.
  • Manager support by completing administrative tasks involved in the recruitment, onboarding and retention of all staff.
  • Management of the time attendance system and providing accurate data to support the payroll function.
  • Maintain the employee database and training records.
  • Undertaking and supporting a wide variety of project work.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have a broad HR Generalist background with a proactive approach as a key business partner

  • Proven experience as HR officer or other HR position
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of employment law and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Level 3 CIPD or Working towards
