HR Administrator

Job Description

HR Administrator- Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent
Location: Belfast/Maghera (based on candidate preference)

We are delighted to be working with a well-established and values-driven organisation currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. To support this transition-and provide maternity cover-we are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Administrator to join their team on a full-time, temporary to permanent basis.
This newly expanded role replaces a previous part-time HR Admin position and reflects the organisation's evolving operational needs. It's a unique opportunity to be part of a welcoming, high-performing team that has recently achieved Investors in People (IIP) Gold-a clear testament to their commitment to staff development and a strong internal culture.
About the Role:
This is a varied and rewarding position ideal for someone who thrives on combining structured HR duties with broader administrative support. You will be at the heart of day-to-day operations, assisting the Managing Director and wider team with tasks such as:

  • Preparing staff rotas and supporting payroll processes
  • Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and training
  • Updating HR systems and internal policies
  • Supporting performance reviews and appraisals
  • Assisting with internal communications and general admin

The role is full-time (35 hours per week) and offers the flexibility to be based in either Maghera or Belfast, depending on your location.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is not only detail-oriented and reliable, but also enjoys being a supportive presence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll be trusted with sensitive information, so professionalism and discretion are essential.
Key skills and qualities include:

  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
  • Confidence using systems like Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Forms, PeopleHR etc.
  • Ability to manage a broad mix of HR and administrative duties
  • A calm, confident communicator who thrives in a team-oriented culture

This role would be perfect for an experienced HR Administrator or a capable office professional looking to take the next step into a more HR-focused position.
What's on Offer:

  • A chance to join a respected, supportive organisation with a people-first ethos
  • A meaningful role during an exciting time of growth and change
  • Potential for a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate
