Fundraising & Marketing Officer (27K)

Job Description

VANRATH is recruiting a temporary Fundraising and Marketing Officer for a well known Third Sector organisation, responsible for distributing food to charities, schools and community centres. This is an immediate start for an initial duration of 3 months.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities within the role will include but will not be limited to the following:

Fundraising

Support the delivery of the fundraising strategy through:

  • Increasing income by identifying and recruiting new members for the food redistribution service including schools, community groups and charities which are working to alleviate food poverty in the local community.
  • Supporting the Development Manager with the identification and completion of funding applications to grant making trusts and foundations, government Departments, councils and statutory agencies.
  • Supporting the Development Manager to maximise income and support from corporate sponsorship through identifying, engaging and building relationships with corporates.
  • Exploring and developing opportunities for public giving through third party sites (e.g., Just Giving) and other activities.

Marketing & Communications

Support the development and delivery of the Fareshare NI marketing and communications strategy through:

  • Planning and organising marketing events and campaigns to raise the organisations profile.
  • Attending and representing the organisaiton at fundraising and other events/ conferences and delivering presentations on the project and its work as required.
  • Creating and utilising monthly and quarterly reports from the information management system for funders and marketing purposes. This will include the preparation of bespoke reports and data on food redistribution and Community Food Members.
  • Developing marketing collateral and content in a range of formats for use across all platforms and externally including websites and social media accounts.
  • Producing a quarterly e-newsletter for Members, corporate partners, funders and other stakeholders.

Candidate

Essential Experience

  • Proven previous experience of work on successful funding applications to a range of funders e.g., Trusts and Foundations. Government departments/agencies, Local Authorities.

  • At least one year's experience of planning and running events
  • At least one year's experience of preparing and delivering presentations
  • At least one year's experience of producing and uploading content to websites/social media platforms

Desirable Experience

At least one year's experience of seeking and securing corporate sponsorship

Remuneration
