Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Belfast City Centre
Salary: £24,500 - £24,765 per annum + Benefits
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role:
VANRATH is delighted to partner with a well-established Belfast-based organisation to recruit a Receptionist for a permanent full-time role. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional with strong organisational skills to join a friendly and supportive team. The role encompasses front-of-house duties, facilities coordination, and administrative support in a prestigious client environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist all visitors, providing a warm and professional reception experience.

  • Coordinate and manage all stages of event planning and execution.

  • Ensure the client suite is clean, tidy, and well-presented, including décor and furnishings.

  • Prepare meeting rooms with catering and refreshments, accommodating dietary needs.

  • Handle incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally.

  • Complete health and safety documentation and procedures accurately and punctually.

  • Liaise with building security and workplace staff to support daily operations.

  • Arrange and adjust meeting spaces as needed.

  • Maintain AV and video conferencing equipment and offer basic IT support.

  • Complete training for fire marshal and first aid duties.

  • Provide general administrative assistance and support to the Property and Workplace Team.

  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested to ensure smooth office functioning.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering excellent customer service, preferably in corporate or client-facing roles.

  • Previous experience in legal or financial sectors, including event coordination exposure.

  • Strong organisational skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Professional appearance with a confident and approachable manner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in approach.

  • Able to stay calm under pressure and solve problems independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Comfortable setting up and troubleshooting AV and video conferencing equipment.

  • Willing to undertake manual handling tasks (training provided).

  • Flexible attitude, including occasional availability for out-of-hours events.
