Are you at least 3 years post qualified, with a desire to excel in a Financial Controller position?
VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading NI Charity in helping recruit for a Financial Controller.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will oversee a Finance team of 11 (4 qualified accountants ) to ensure all activities are aligned with the Group's strategic objectives.

About you
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) qualification
- Minimum 3 years post qualified experience
- Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience, to include either: a. At least 3 years' experience working in a managerial role in the Finance Department of an organisation with a turnover of at least £1,000,000 OR b. At least 3 years' experience in the management of external financial audits from planning to supervision and review
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of preparing financial reports
- Demonstrate an advanced level of competence in using Microsoft Excel
- Hold a valid driving licence
What you'll do
- Work with the FD and wider operations / marketing teams in order to develop budgets and forecasts for funding applications and business growth plans
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial information, including budgets, cash flows and management accounts.
- Review and present financial information to Trustees, senior managers and other budget holders
- Produce statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Oversight of payroll
- Manage Finance team
- Oversee risk and controls
