VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading Energy Business in Northern Ireland. Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner for IT&Change and working closely with Finance and IT, this Analyst opportunity will play a key role in the planning and delivery of the ERP operating model.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in collaboration to plan and deliver a large system upgrade project through the various phases.
  • Engage with Departments to identify and analyse opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives on system related finance processes and controls.
  • To coordinate and support testing, deliver training and update process documentation.
  • To become a driver of best practices for finance business processes.
  • Assist with the delivery of enhanced reporting and analytics.
  • To undertake the Finance Data Steward role and support the Finance Data Governance processes.
  • To become an expert, providing support on day to day finance system business processes and issues resolution.
  • Assist with other IT & Change projects that impact finance systems or processes.
  • Work closely with other departments on operational and project activities.


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;

  • A professional accounting qualification full (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified through experience with demonstrable knowledge, skills and capabilities from working on finance process improvements and / or financial systems;
  • Proven experience in a finance role;
  • A desire to drive business process change and improvement;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of data management;
  • Ability to identify opportunities, interdependencies and interpret business requirements;
  • Ability to progress activities and solutions
  • Demonstrable track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner;

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Demonstrable evidence of knowledge and experience of a regulatory environment;
  • Experience in a project role;
  • Experience in an ERP system e.g SAP;
  • Knowledge of Project Management framework or Project tools;
  • Knowledge of reporting tools
