About you

• Qualified accountant holding ACA/ACCA/CIMA professional qualification
• Ideally have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Previous experience of leading and managing a finance team
• Possess excellent IT skills including MS Office Skills and in, particular, Excel
• Experience of installing new IT business systems and developing the necessary reporting information
• Experience of involvement in the development and delivery of business strategy
• Experience of introducing new processes and managing change
• Have excellent business acumen and commercial awareness
• Can communicate effectively at all levels and build positive relationships with key stakeholders
• Enthusiastic and hard working with ability to work under own initiative
• Strong analytical and interpreting skills

What you'll do

• Support the management team with the development and implementation of the strategic plan and associated action plan for the business
• Establishing financial measurement standards and developing systems to monitor performance against targets
• Evaluating and reporting departmental performance with the Managing Director and other key managers
• Ensure that research and development expenditure is clearly identified and captured within the group's wider tax management strategy
• Create implement and operate budgeting and management controls
• Contribute to the ethos of continuous improvement and performance management
• In conjunction with the Group IT Manager support the development, management and implementation of the Information technology strategy for the business
• Responsible for the development of all employees within your area of responsibility
