VANRATH are exclusively partnered with a manufacturing organisation as they look to recruit a Management Accountant / Business Partner on a 9-12 month contract basis? This is a fully remote role but any suitable candidate needs to be NI based.

About your next employer

Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is central to the delivery of strong financial controls including the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.

Acting as Business Partner to the Operations Team the role will be responsible for providing financial data modelling and business insights to help drive business decisions. This role will need to work collaboratively with the operations team using key metrics and data driven reporting to enable better planning, forecasting and ultimately business performance.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong management accounting skills
  • Exceptional IT skills including Advanced Excel, Power BI
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written
  • Available at short notice

What you'll do

  • Monthly Management Accounts preparation and commentary
  • Track and review margins and provide variance analysis.
  • Monthly meetings with budget holders analysing variances.
  • Act as business partner to the Operations Team to provide meaningful insights and drive both short, and long-term initiatives.
  • Design, with the support of the Finance Director, and deliver, deep-dive analysis to aid Operations Team in understanding historical / current operational business performance to promote greater efficiency and optimum performance across the supply chain.
  • Deliver ad hoc metrics and insights to support Operations team, promoting the use of data for decision making where possible.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure higher accuracy, deviations analysis and recommendations.
  • Support implementing and maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Support the development of accounting, finance, and operations systems, including for example EDI.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects, to support the Finance and Operations Teams and wider business as appropriate.
