Engagement and Development Manager

CLIENT
VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a well-known Public Sector organisation, in their recruitment of an Engagement and Development Manager to join their team on a 6 month fixed-term basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join an already well-established team.
Responsibilities
The main purpose of this role will be to work alongside the Senior Management Team to develop a brand new, organisational wide engagement plan.
Engagement and Development is a key operating area within the organisation's HR team, delivering internal training interventions, annual corporate training events and provides administrative support for all aspects of learning and development and performance management. This team also provides support for the full HR remit.
Other responsibilities within the role will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to managers and staff regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to senior leaders on all aspects of learning and development programmes
  • Champion staff engagement and health and well-being and develop approaches for continuous improvement within the organisation.
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Management Team to understand the strategic challenges encountered by the HR team.

The Ideal Person
Must:

  • Hold membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) at a minimum of Chartered member level and have 2 years post qualification HR experience operating at a supervisory level within a medium size organisation.

OR

  • Hold a Level 5 CIPD qualification and have 5 years HR experience operating at a supervisory level within a medium size organisation.

AND

  • Have taken the lead at supervisory level in the management of diversity and inclusion programmes, implementation of staff engagement initiatives and the development of strategic capability framework.
  • Provided advice on and or managed cases on the areas below:
    • grievances
    • disciplinary
    • performance management
  • Demonstrable experience of building constructive, positive and collaborative partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management, to effectively deliver significant organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrable experience of effective verbal and written communication that influenced a major decision using meaningful analysis of HR management information.

Remuneration
This is an excellent opportunity offering a highly competitive salary within the range £39,748 - £42,639, this role also offers the opportunity to join the organisation directly on a fixed-term contract basis, entitling the successful candidate to a range of perks and benefits, including NICS Pension Scheme and on-site parking.
