Base: Northern Ireland (Occasional travel across UK & Ireland required)
Salary: £37,500 - £42,500 + Quarterly Bonus Scheme
Monday - Thursday (Fridays off) | Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity


We are seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to join a growing business supporting the construction and infrastructure industries. This is a hands-on role working with cutting-edge machine control and tiltrotator systems across the UK and Ireland.
You'll be responsible for installing, calibrating, and supporting advanced control systems on plant machinery, while also delivering training and technical support to operators and customers. Some travel with overnight stays will be required, so flexibility and a full UK driving licence are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Install, calibrate, and set up Leica Machine Control and Steelwrist Tiltrotator products.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for machine control systems.
  • Deliver system training to new operators following installations.
  • Support customers and distribution partners with technical queries.
  • Provide training on GPS, TPS, and laser positioning sensors linked to machine control.
  • Assist with site infrastructure setup and data preparation.
  • Keep up to date with new system developments, software, and firmware updates.
  • Generate reports and documentation in line with company QA processes.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

What You'll Need

  • Industry-led qualification or relevant work experience in electrical/plant machinery engineering.
  • Experience with auto-electrics, hydraulic systems, and CAN bus technology desirable.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Welding/fabrication experience an advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction machinery and site practices (CPCS/CSCS credentials beneficial).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • A clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • Flexibility to travel, including occasional overnight stays in Ireland, Scotland, and beyond.
