VANRATH have partnered with a leading company in Coleraine to recruit a Deputy HR Manager (Senior Human Resources Advisor) to join their busy team. This is a full time, permanent post where the successful candidate will act as a key influencer both within the HR function and with colleagues across the site and business while deputising for the HR manager.

Key Objectives

* Deliver a high quality, flexible Human Resources service, responsive to the needs of the Site Division & organisation, and in line with legislative requirements and best practice.

* To provide a full generalist service to the Site including Recruitment, Reward, Employee Relations and Learning & Development ensuring compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.

* To play a lead role on HR project work to enable the organisation to meet its overall business objectives and to drive continuous improvements in the service offered by the HR department.

* Work with and mentor HR colleagues to provide a flexible and positive approach enabling the HR team to deliver excellent service.

* Work with the HR Manager and Head of Group HR to support the development of and implementation of the Group HR Strategy in line with overall business objectives.

* Ensure appropriate HR information systems are in place to support operational needs and contribute towards the continuous improvement of HR processes, documenting and communicating changes where necessary.


* As required lead HR projects within the department by researching, designing, implementing and delivering 'best practice' HR projects.

* To work with the Group Head of HR, Site HR Manager and Group HR colleagues to develop HR project initiatives to improve the HR service offering to the Group of companies.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3rd level qualification, preferably HRM or similar.
  • CIPD qualified
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience as a senior HR Generalist/HR Officer/Senior HR Advisor
  • Experience within a fast paced, production or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • Excellent communicator
  • Experience working within a fast moving highly pressurised environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
