VANRATH are delighted to be working with a well-known supply company based in Armagh to recruit an experienced Credit Control Team Lead to join their Credit Control Team. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to ensure sales are converted to cash efficiently and to minimise the business's risk of bad debt.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively collect cash and prevent bad debt
  • Escalate delinquent accounts to credit manager
  • Recover bad debts with solicitors and sales staff
  • Resolve customer queries promptly
  • Manage customer database
  • Advise on payment options for large orders
  • Improve procedures and processes
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Prepare monthly credit performance reports
  • Manage month-end customer database updates
  • Set debt collection forecasts
  • Process invoices/statements and allocate credit balances
  • Update weekly cash collections against targets
  • Credit rebate deductions to nominal and record
  • Approve new account applications, set payment terms and credit limits
  • Conduct quarterly customer credit limit reviews
  • Approve debit/credit journals and adjustments
  • Monitor and release held orders to minimise risk and maximise sales


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a credit control role in a similar-sized organisation
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Experience in a shared service environment
