Role: Communications Officer - Temporary - Dungannon

Job Overview

VANRATH are partnering with a returning client, to support their search for a Temporary Communications Officer to deliver effective communications by preparing content, managing media relations, and supporting social media and communications plans.

  • Temporary - 37 hours/week
  • £34,000 - £36,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality written materials, including press releases, newsletters, letters, reports, and official correspondence.
  • Liaise with local, regional, and national media outlets to secure positive media coverage and manage public relations.
  • Support the development and implementation of Communications, PR, and Marketing Plans.
  • Manage and create content for social media channels to engage stakeholders and promote organisational activity.
  • Undertake research to inform and support the development of press materials and formal responses.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all communications platforms.
  • Use Microsoft Office and design software such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator to produce professional materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support communication objectives.

Essential Criteria

  • 2+ years experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with media engagement and content development.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and digital tools for communications.
  • Experience managing social media in a professional context.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
