Job Overview
VANRATH are partnering with a returning client, to support their search for a Temporary Communications Officer to deliver effective communications by preparing content, managing media relations, and supporting social media and communications plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality written materials, including press releases, newsletters, letters, reports, and official correspondence.
- Liaise with local, regional, and national media outlets to secure positive media coverage and manage public relations.
- Support the development and implementation of Communications, PR, and Marketing Plans.
- Manage and create content for social media channels to engage stakeholders and promote organisational activity.
- Undertake research to inform and support the development of press materials and formal responses.
- Ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all communications platforms.
- Use Microsoft Office and design software such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator to produce professional materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support communication objectives.
Essential Criteria
- 2+ years experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with media engagement and content development.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and digital tools for communications.
- Experience managing social media in a professional context.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
