Role: Customer Services Officer - Temporary - Belfast
Job Overview
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector organisation, in their search for a Customer Services Officer for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. The Customer Services Officer will provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to assist in the development and delivery of key areas within housing-related customer services.
- Salary: £16.37/hour
- 37 hours per week
- Belfast city centre office
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking ownership of queries, seeing them through to resolution, and escalating when necessary.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and external contacts.
- Represent the organisation positively, helping to maintain a strong and professional public image.
- Work in line with all organisational policies and procedures, including those related to equality, health and safety, and data protection.
- Support colleagues by directing them to the correct resources or contacts for matters beyond the scope of your role.
- Take part in project work as assigned, using sound project management principles to deliver tasks effectively.
- Support recruitment and resourcing activity as required, in line with organisational guidelines.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as needed to support the organisation's goals and evolving priorities.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a degree-level qualification with at least 1 year of relevant experience,
OR
Demonstrate equivalent professional development or experiential learning with at least 2 years of relevant experience. - Proven experience in:
- Effective written and verbal communication, including coordinating communications and negotiation skills.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
- Hold a current driving licence or have access to suitable transport to meet the role's requirements.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience analysing and interpreting data to improve service delivery.
- Experience in housing management functions.
- Possession of a recognised professional housing qualification.
