Business Research Analyst (Progression Opp) (Global Firm)

Job Description

VANRATH are assisting a multinational law firm with the recruitment of a Business Research Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to develop and progress within a global organisation that places immense value on their staff.

This is a Permanent Full-Time Position. Initially this role will be working from home based, with potential hybrid approach down the line.

Bachelor's degree in business, management, economics, social science, communications research or legal studies, is the key requirement for this role.

Salary

£22,000 - £26,000 + Fantastic Benefit Package from Global Firm + Development & Progression Opportunities

Responsibilities:

The Business Research Analyst will provide business and client research support to the Firm's global client program and other key Firm priorities by answering business research enquiries, developing various business intelligence reports, assisting in strategic research projects and managing the team's platforms and other administrative requirements, within the context of the firm's information and research strategy; and act as a point of contact for business research requests and enquiries.
Service Orientation
  • Maintains and builds strong relationships with In-Market I&R Leads, Managers and Research Librarians, Senior Manager for Research & Information Alerts, Service Owner for Research & Information Alert services
  • Demonstrates value through effective communication with stakeholders and key relationships
Knowledge & Expertise
  • Understands and promotes the role and functionality of the firm's business research, content and information repositories and resources
  • Develops various research and business intelligence reports on companies, markets and industries in support of the Firm's growth priorities
  • Propose actionable insights (eg. recommendations, business opportunities/ leads) into client, market and industry research reports based on external and Firm data
  • Supports planned and ad hoc research projects
  • Coordinates with relevant teams within and outside of the department in the conduct of research, as needed
  • Helps conceptualize/improve research report templates, formats and product offering
People Management
  • Collaborative, supportive, team player working with In-Market Research Librarians, other Research team members, Service Owner for Research and Information Alert services, other Knowledge Services staff, and the wider Information & Research and Knowledge communities
Work Management
  • Supports and participates in the adoption and use of Knowledge and I&R systems
  • Participates in and leads projects as requested
  • Aware of and participates in Firm's and I&R group goals

Ideal Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, economics, social science, communications research or legal studies
  • Solid research background, with at least 2-3 years' relevant research and writing experience
  • Strong knowledge of secondary research processes and techniques
  • Good understanding of financial analysis
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as familiarity with database management
  • Experience in creating infographics an advantage
  • Commitment to outstanding client service
  • Strong people management and organizational skills; ability to prioritise and manage people's time to meet deadlines
