Aftermarket Business Support Officer

£40,000 | Belfast | 6-Month Contract

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting for a Business Support professional on behalf of one of our leading clients within the manufacturing sector. This contract will support a key team within the organisation's Aftermarket division - focused on global parts supply, repairs, and customer support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in business operations, supply chain or commercial support who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of clear communication around purchase orders and repair activity.

The Role

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Aftermarket Business Operations team.
  • Coordinate and track spare part orders and repair activities across global sites.
  • Liaise with internal teams (commercial, supply chain, logistics, operations) to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding order status, lead times, and schedule updates.
  • Monitor and report on outstanding purchase orders and repair turnaround times.
  • Support continuous improvement across aftermarket operations and customer service processes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a business support, supply chain, or commercial operations role.
  • Strong communication skills - confident engaging with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficient in SAP or another MRP/ERP system (desirable but not essential).
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Background in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering or logistics is beneficial but not required.

  • Salary: £40,000
  • Contract: 6-months initially (potential extension)
