Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of an Administrative Officer.

This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.

Salary

£23,071 per annum, plus benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for funded organisations.
  • Develop a detailed and accurate understanding of the services and support delivered by the organisation.
  • Respond to community partner queries and escalate to appropriate staff member when required.
  • Collation of monthly/quarterly information for monthly/quarterly reporting received by funded organisations.
  • Collation of financial declarations from funded organisations and co-ordination of information to the relevant staff/departments.
  • Recording progress of tasks to excel and other database platforms.
  • Booking meeting rooms or venues and co-ordination of meeting.
  • Uphold the Service's reputation and public image, demonstrating professional conduct and a sense of personal responsibility and ownership of your role.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSES (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, which must include English Language and Mathematics.
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience of the following criteria:
  1. Dealing effectively with client/customer queries in person and by telephone.
  2. Maintaining both electronic and paper-based office administration systems in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  3. Using MS Office.
  4. Updating and utilising an electronic database to generate reports and information for specific business purposes.
  5. Processing information and accurately recording on different portals.

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrable experience of dealing professionally with confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR regulations.
