VANRATH are delighted to be working with a successful manufacturing business based in County Down who are continually at the head of the market are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team for a period of 9 months. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company purchase ledger, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices in multiple currencies.

This role is to cover a period of maternity and is offering the opportunity for an immediate start.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2+ years' experience working in an Accounts Assistant role and are available at short notice:

  • Purchase ledger experience
  • Multi-currency
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Sage experience (desirable)


As an Accounts Assistant you will:

  • Input and process purchase invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Handle supplier queries
  • Prepare BACS payment runs
  • Process expense claims
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports
