NI customers in the dark after Tesco rolls out hundreds of price cuts in Republic

Tesco has yet to confirm if price cuts announced across hundreds of products at its stores in the Republic will be extended to Northern Ireland.



Business birth rate in Northern Ireland has risen over the last decade but continues to lag behind the UK

Between 2010 and 2021 the number of business births in NI rose by 45%, reaching 6,655 in 2021, the highest over the decade. The increase compares to a 55% rise in the UK. Reflective of the increase in numbers the birth rate, births as a share of active businesses, has risen from 7.8% to 10.3%.



Cashless schools project latest to fall victim to NI education cuts

A system to allow all schools to move to cashless payments is the latest casualty of cuts to the education budget.



Further strikes by health workers announced by Unite union

Fresh strikes by health workers have been announced in the ongoing dispute over pay in the NHS.
