What did you do before working in recruitment?
I was a recruitment Resourcer, recruiting digital marketing specialists. Prior to that, I was a digital marketing consultant for the same company.
What motivated you to pursue a career in recruitment and which specific area and roles do you specialise in?
I have always loved working with people! Building relationships is my strong point so I thought recruitment would be the perfect career for me to do both. I specialise in all aspects of Marketing and UX/UI professionals across the IT & Technology, FMCG, Advertising & Media and Manufacturing and Engineering sectors.
What do you enjoy most about working in the Marketing recruitment industry?
I enjoy it all - from meeting clients and candidates, to offering candidates their dream jobs, and of course, working with some amazing companies!
What are your favourite aspects of this field, and how do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and market insights?
I really enjoy all aspects of Marketing, especially Digital Marketing and keeping up to date on trends via different blogs, articles, LinkedIn pages and podcasts. I find Search Engine Land a great website to keep myself informed of all things SEO!
Why should clients and candidates each consider working with a Recruitment Consultant for their next role?
Companies should consider working with a Recruitment Consultant as they will put their full focus into finding the right person for their business. We have a massive talent pool of candidates that fit the perfect skill set for their vacancy! We can also help candidates by finding the perfect opportunity for their skill set and unique goals, negotiating on their behalf and supporting them through every stage of the hiring process.
What are some in-demand job roles in this area and what top skills are employers looking for?
The whole market is very in demand at the moment, but digital marketing really is the most sought-after at the moment! The industry is constantly evolving, but skills within SEO, PPC, Social Media Marketing, Data Analytics and Content Creation always stand out to employers.
What strategies do you use to source and attract top talent?
We currently have a strong talent pool within our internal system, however I find it is key to create a bespoke job ad tailored to the specific role - this gives a stronger insight to the company the candidate is applying for.
What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of work?
I love spending my weekends with my partner and friends and I'm OBSESSED with The Real Housewives!
Can you share with us a fun fact or unique skill that not many people know about you?
I'm partial to a Spice Girls song at karaoke… 🎤
