VANRATH are recruiting a Transformation Project Manager for a large Utility organisation in Belfast. Reporting into Head of Transformation, this is an urgent start (withing 2 weeks) for an initial duration of 6 months, with opportunities for extension. The post holder will be supporting the the Head of Transformation for various projects derogations, SLAs and regulatory changes
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join an organisation going through a significant range of projects.
Hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office and 2 days working at home), complimentary lunch, car parking and electric charging points on site.
Remuneration
£45-55k, plus pension, holiday pay
Responsibilities
- Supporting and implementing best practice programme management and governance across a range of projects.
- Maintaining the appropriate governance and risk management activities for the project or programme in accordance with policies and practices.
- Planning and designing projects with colleagues and business leads and subject matter experts and continuously monitor progress, proactively resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
- Supporting the management of project and programme budgets and benefits realisation.
- Supporting the delivery of initiatives and projects by getting fully involved in analysis, process design, facilitating readiness activities and implementation.
- Using analytical and problem-solving ability to maintain project standards and momentum.
- Supporting excellent project and programme updates and communications and ensure a positive change and engagement experience for all stakeholders.
- As a member of the transformation team, you will work with colleagues to continuously improve project and programme delivery methodology and tools.
Candidate
- A degree or equivalent qualification and two years' of relevant experience or least four years' relevant experience (relevant experience of business analysis and/or project management, project delivery).
- Proven ability to identify, define and solve problems.
- Effective communication skills with an emphasis on high quality reporting.
- Experience in the use of MS applications such as SharePoint and Teams
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships and work collaboratively with multi-professional teams.
- Highly organised, with the ability to coordinate and progress the activity of others.
Desirable Criteria- A project management qualification such as PRINCE 2, Agile certification, or similar
- Experience of working within energy/utility or a similar complex or regulated environment.
- Experience of using a range of project management tools such as MS Project, DevOps or Trello.
