Toolmaker / Manual Machinist
Location: Lisburn, County Antrim
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000
A growing, well-established precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Manual Machinist to join its expanding team. With a strong order book and a global customer base, this is a stable, long-term opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work in a high-quality engineering environment.
The Role:
- Manual machining including turning, milling, and grinding
- Manufacture and modification of precision tooling components
- Working with lathes, milling machines, grinders, and hand tools
- Using precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
- Reading and working from detailed technical drawings
- Maintaining a clean and organised work bay
- Working independently with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manual machining or toolmaking role
- Strong experience in turning, milling, and grinding
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Background in a precision engineering or aerospace environment (advantageous)
Location & Working Hours:
- Lisburn-based role, with occasional travel opportunities
- 40-hour basic working week
- Flexible working week available
- Overtime paid at premium rates
