Are you looking for a Toolmaker role? Interested in working in a productive workshop environment for an established aerospace and tool engineer?

VANRATH are recruiting a Toolmaker to work within a dynamic engineering team tasked with bringing design specs and engineering drawings to life with accuracy and efficiency.

Remuneration:
c£35,000 - £40,000 DOE + benefits

Client
Our client is an independent design company who provide technical design and consultancy to major air-frame manufacturers, their suppliers and other automotive companies.

Their portfolio of customers includes the biggest names in aerospace, including Airbus, Bombardier and Boeing. Due to increased demand, opportunities have arisen for them to increase their manufacturing team.

Main Responsibilities

• Interpret and create components using detailed engineer drawings.
• Build a variety of Aerospace tooling and fixtures.
• Work with a variety of machinery, from lathes to hand tools.
• Focus on precision and accuracy.

Operate in a busy workshop environment, under minimal supervision and maintain a safe and tidy work space.

• Work closely with Design team to produce bespoke tools and components.

The Ideal Person:

• 3+ years' experience in Manual Machining - turning, milling and grinding.
• Demonstrable competency in building Aerospace tooling and fixtures.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working with machinery such as lathes, milling machines, shape tools and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to travel to sites across UK and ROI when required.
• Experience with Laser Tracking would be an advantage.
