HR Assistant
VANRATH is partnering with a well-established public sector organisation to recruit an HR Assistant to join their HR & Organisational Development team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience while providing high-quality administrative support and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment: prepare documentation, schedule interviews, process pre-employment checks, and manage applicant records.
- Assist with onboarding: induction packs, policies, and liaising with line managers.
- Maintain personnel records and ensure GDPR compliance.
- Liaise with Payroll on starters, leavers, and contracts.
- Manage casual worker records and timekeeping queries.
- Process purchase orders and invoices; provide general admin support including filing, photocopying, and word processing.
About You:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English and Maths.
- At least 1 year of experience in administration, customer service, and Microsoft Office, HR Desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Confident handling confidential information and working independently.
